Product description

Understanding PU Membrane Press Adhesive and where it fits

PU membrane press adhesive bonds thermoformable decorative film to routed MDF cabinet doors and shaped furniture fronts. The adhesive must activate consistently across flat areas, edges, recesses and profile transitions during the pressing cycle.

Door design, MDF surface, sanding, spray weight, drying, activation temperature, membrane pressure and film grade need to be developed together.

Production process

How it is typically produced and controlled

The PU dispersion or confirmed system is formulated through controlled metering, mixing and filtration, then packed to preserve stability. On the door line it is sprayed or coated, dried and heat activated during membrane pressing.

A trial should examine spray pattern, dry film, activation window, corner coverage, recess bonding, edge lift, heat aging and compatibility with the selected 3D film.

  1. Application reviewMatch substrate, decorative surface, machine, coating method, line speed, temperature, open time and final-use resistance.
  2. Controlled formulationMeter and process the selected resin or reactive components under the moisture, temperature and mixing controls required by the grade.
  3. Filtration and protected fillingFilter the adhesive and fill cartridges, pails, drums or other approved packs with the required moisture and contamination protection.
  4. Release and line trialReview batch tests and documents, then validate coating weight, wetting, green strength and final bond on the buyer's production line.

Adhesive performance depends on the whole system, not the product name alone. A line trial with the actual substrate and surface material is required before volume use.

Product definition and buying guidance. Adhesive selection is application-specific. The same grade should not be assumed suitable for every film, board, machine, line speed or climate.

PU membrane press adhesive for 3D cabinet door film is presented as a distinct purchasing family rather than a generic category label.

Adhesive selection is application-specific. The same grade should not be assumed suitable for every film, board, machine, line speed or climate.

Send substrate and film types, machine and glue system, line speed, temperatures, coating weight, workshop conditions and required bond performance.

JINYOU will map the request to the suitable current product, owned-production or partner-manufacturing source as applicable, then confirm samples, documents and commercial terms before order.

Typical production and supply-control workflow

Step 1Application mappingRecord substrate, surface energy, film or edge material, machine, speed and environmental conditions.
Step 2Grade and sample selectionSelect a current grade using the latest TDS/SDS and a controlled trial quantity.
Step 3Production and packingCoordinate formulation, reaction or blending, filtration and moisture-protected packing for the confirmed grade.
Step 4Line validationCheck coating, open time, initial tack, appearance, heat or moisture performance on the buyer's actual line.

This is a typical process and supply-control sequence, not a claim that every product is made on one JINYOU-owned line. Exact procedures and evidence depend on the confirmed factory, grade and order.
